Renewed Partnership: Regatta Foundation

We are proud to announce the second year of our partnership with the Regatta Foundation and its brands Regatta Great Outdoors, Dare2B and Craghoppers.  Together we’re supporting three local initiatives: raising awareness for climate and biodiversity issues and enjoying a little time outdoors along the way.

Thank you Regatta Group for making this all possible!

DARE2B x IONIAN ENVIRONMENT FOUNDATION
Sustainable Sailing Greece
Charter boats are on the rise throughout the Greek islands, disturbing the surrounding Posidonia meadows, sea turtles and dolphins. This project promotes sailing best-practice among charter companies, crew members, and clients alike.

REGATTA X DEVON ENVIRONMENT FOUNDATION
Save Our Seagrass
Seagrass is a vital carbon sink. Sadly, over 90% the UK’s meadows have been lost over the last 100 years due to damage from dredging, anchoring and poor water quality. This project protects seagrass through ecological monitoring, physical protection and community engagement.

CRAGHOPPERS x MALLORCA PRESERVATION
Dolphins of Cabrera
Underwater noise poses a threat to marine wildlife;  particularly from recreational boating and the traffic of passenger and cargo vessels. Using passive acoustics, this project monitors bottlenose dolphins by identifying their unique whistle sounds and comparing their distribution to underwater noise threats.

In today’s world, where social and environmental issues are becoming increasingly complex and urgent, non-profits can achieve their goals with support from the business community. The Regatta Group, as a corporate partner, is a vital source of support for our local Foundations, not only providing necessary financial resources to grassroots conservation initiatives but also offering invaluable exposure to new audiences. We are proud to be supported by the Regatta Group, one of Europe’s largest outdoor clothing groups and a signatory of the UN Global Compact. And its brands, Regatta, Craghoppers, and Dare2b are all driving forces in connecting people with nature by helping people enjoy the great outdoors with great kit. This partnership is a stellar example of how non-profits and corporations can create powerful synergies that drive positive social impact and promote a shared vision of a sustainable future.

Jade Brudenell, Executive Director of Conservation Collective commented:
‘We are delighted to partner with the Regatta Foundation for the second year! Partnerships like this can turbocharge the work of local heroes dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural environment of the wild places that they love.’
