Sicily Environment Foundation Executive Summary
Sicily Environment Foundation (SEF) will be launching as part of the Conservation Collective very soon.
In order to identify the environmental and social contexts and conservation needs in the island of Sicily and surrounding archipelagos, Conservation Collective commissioned local environmental consultant Gaia Agnello to carry out a comprehensive scoping study.
The following thematic areas of work in which SEF will focus were identified:
- Biodiversity Conservation and Protected Areas
- Agroecology for Sustainable Food Systems
- Agrotourism and Nature-Based Activities
The document also identifies the key environmental actors in the region and the role of SEF among them.
