2022 – A big year for TEF! 

 

Highlights from 2022 :

  • March – Marevivo carries out its recovery dive operations on Giglio, pulling up from the sea bed a host of unpleasant and often toxic items, including tyres, mattresses, boat batteries, and huge discarded fishing nets
  • July – Mammals of Protected Areas of Tuscany (MAPAT) reveals the first presence of the Golden Jackal in the Parco Regionale della Maremma
  • August – Tartamare installs infopoints in Marina di Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia, thus completing the TEF grant awarded in 2021
  • Summer – Confirmed sighting of a Mediterranean Monk sea in the Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano
  • October – TEF hosts the workshop Restoring the Tuscan Watershed
  • November – Riccardo Mastini becomes new Executive Director of the Tuscany Environment Foundation
