Conservation Collective August Newsletter
It is full on holiday season and many of us are unpacking our bags in sunny holiday destinations around the globe.
This August, it is more likely than ever before that you might be relaxing in a spot close to one of our foundations; in an ecosystem benefitting from a project we have funded, or meeting people who have been affected by ecological issues we are tackling.
Whilst some of you might be taking some time out, not everyone is on snooze. Here at the Collective, our dedicated team members Sekoah and Berta have committed to joining Albania Overboard, a 3km charity swim, finishing in Corfu.
For those of you enjoying the beauty of the Mediterranean this summer, you can find Berta’s Just Giving Page here and Sekoah’s here. Perhaps you might feel like supporting them from the comfort of your deck chair?!
This newsletter includes:
- Albania Overboard, a charity swim supporting the Ionian Environment Foundation‘s marine conservation projects
- Our commitment to the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative
- Empowering sustainable travel tips for holiday goers
- Project updates from Conservation Collective’s local foundations, including Mitigating Human-Elephant Conflict in Sri Lanka, Sustainable Fishing in Barbados, Crayfish Conservation in Devon
