Lamu Environment Foundation celebrates 1 year of operations with the awarding of a new round of grants

- Crab farming in Faza Ward with local partner Faza Youth Action Group – preserving mangrove ecosystems through crab farming as alternative livelihoods
- Building capacity for Beach Monitoring Units (BMUs) in Pate Island (Part II) with Faza Youth Action Group – Translating the regulations approved during Part I of the project into Swahili to make them more accessible to all members of the community
- Contributing towards a sustainable ecosystem of Lake Kenyatta with Lamu Outreach Youth Initiative – Community awareness raising and sensitisation sessions about the threatened Lake Kenyatta and its sustainable use.
