Menorca Preservation 2021 Annual Report
The Menorca Preservation 2021 Annual Report compiles the foundations’ achievements and developments over the past year.
Founded in 2017, MeP has been working to slow down and adapt to the effects of climate change on the island, contributing to the development of a more sustainable Menorca. The main thematic areas it channels funding towards are Sea, Land, and Renewable Energies.
2020-2021 environmental impact:
- € 240,000 + disbursed on local projects
- 30 projects funded
- Creation of the Plastic Free Menorca Alliance, with 20 companies certified on the scheme
- Creation of Menorca Preservada with 100+ farmers signed up for training on sustainable farming practices
- Constitution of the first Clean Energy community in the Balearics
