Together, the Depeche Mode x Hublot and Conservation Collective global partnership is empowering the communities working towards a cleaner future.Funding is being channelled to member Foundations across the CC network to tackle plastic pollution through local community-led initiatives, educational activities and awareness campaigns. Since June 2023, we’ve launched 22 projects across 11 different countries via three approach categories: Plastic-Free, Waste Management and Clean Ups.
We are proud to announce the final round of projects:
🇪🇸 In the Balearics, we’re championing impact research on plastic pollution in marine ecosystems, exploring upcycling craft initiatives and teaching the ‘Seven Rs’ of waste management in primary schools through the medium of magic.
🇲🇹 In Malta, the mission is to reduce single-use plastic waste, increase visitor environmental awareness and install beach toy libraries.
🇭🇷 Work in Croatia will shine a light on the high quality of local tap water while installing new public drinking fountains.
🇱🇰 In Sri Lanka, we’re championing local waste collection mapping to help prevent ‘open dumping’ and inform local authorities on disposal hotspots.

Why focus on plastic?
Because plastic pollution is one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues. From production to disposal, plastics unleash widespread havoc on human, plant and animal health. In the Mediterranean alone 33,800 plastic bottles enter the sea every minute. Plastic waste enters our ecosystems and clogs land, air, and waterways.
It has even entered human body systems. In recent scientific trials, microplastics were even detected in 77% of tests on human bloodstreams.
Plastic is a global problem and every country must be part of the solution: from grassroots to government action. By coming together to tackle plastic pollution, we are on a mission to show that change is possible with collective action.
